It was too cold to stay overnight last weekend. Goodness knows I tried. Stayed until 3:30 when it started to snow a bit and the temperature only got to 8† C. I would have burned through all the wood.

Wanted to shovel a rink but since Howard wimped out and didn't come up, it would have been a ton of work alone. Sigh. Maybe in February...?

Yum Yums

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • Mix together and pat into bottom of 9by 13 buttered pan
  • 2 eggs lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup dessicated coconut
  • 1 cup walnuts ( it really does taste better with the nuts but you might use chocolate chips instead)
  • 2T flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1tsp vanilla pinch of salt

Mix together and spread on batter
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min

Noodle Robinson

  • 1/2 lb. broad noodles, cooked
  • 1 1/2 T butter
  • 1/2 green pepper chopped (optional) some slices spicey sausage (opt)
  • 1 can mushrooms (optional)
  • large onion chopped fine and sauteed in butter
  • 11/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb grated chees1 can tomato soup
  • 5 oz. can tomato sauce

Mix all together and bake at 400 degrees for 30 min. reduce heat to 325and bake another 25 min
