Easter Eggs

Fondant Easter Eggs

1/2 c. butter (room temp)
6 c icing sugar, sifted
1 300 ml can sweetened condensed milk

-cream together (may need more or less sugar), use hands toward end of
mixing
-take out about 1/8 of mixture, and add orange food colouring. Shape into
8-10 yolks
-divide white fondant into 8 or 10 parts and shape around yolks
-let stand on waxed paper until set
-melt 8 squares of Baker's semi-sweet chocolate in microwave, or in top of
double-boiler over hot NOT boiling water
-dip eggs and let set (very messy!)
-store covered in fridge

Barb says add a glob of shortening to the chocolate (she uses chocolate chips)
